Anti-semitism:Hatred of Jewish people.

Holocaust-a systematic plan of persecution and eliminate of Jews and other " undesirable" people,the killing of millions of Jew and other people by the nazis during WWII.

Nuremberg Laws-passed by Hitler,denied German citizenship to Jews,did not let Jews marry non-Jews, made Jews wear the Star of David on their clothes.

Krishtallnacht-"Night of Broken Glass"November 9, 1938 when Nazis attacked Jewish businesses,homes,and synagogues and killed about 100 Jews .

Final Solution- forced Jews into concentration camps.

Genocide- killing people of a specific race or culture on purpose(six million Jews were killed during the Holocaust)

Concentration camps-place where Jews were taken to work,be killed,and be experimented on.

Nuremberg Trials-1945-1946 trials that charged 22 Nazi leader with"crimes against humanity"

Zionist Movement- a movement that reestablished and protected the Jewish people in Israel(late1800s-early 1900s)

Balfour Declaration-1987-issued by British-supported the creation of a Jewish state.

United Nations- founded October 24,1945-replaced League of Nations-supported international cooperation.

Arab Nationalism intifada -an uprising in 1987 after the Palestinians assassinated Sadat and attacked Israeli troops.

Universal Declaration of Human Rights- set human rights standards for all nations, listing specific rights that every human should have.
