The snow leopard is a large cat native to the mountain ranges of Central and South Asia
Snow leopards are slightly smaller than the other big cats
Snow leopards live to around 10-12 years old in the wild.
A snow leopard can run 35 mph
Snow leopard can have 2 or 3 cubs or more

The snow leopard lives in cold mountains
Snow leopard eats blue sheep, Argali wild sheep, ibex, marmots, pikas and hares
Unlike other big cats, snow leopards can't roar.
A female is called a leopardess.
Snow Leopards weigh between 60-120 pounds.

The hunters cut their fur off

Humans also destroy snow leopard habitat and food sources by killing the prey animals they need to feed on

Snow Leopards do not have many predators, in fact their main predator is man
They use their sharp teeth and claws to protect their self
Efforts to save the snow leopard include the signing of treaties and laws by governments to make their trafficking illegal.
Conservation agencies have also been created to preserve them.
