DRAFTING AND WRITING

YOUR PERSONAL NARRATIVE

USE A GRAPHIC ORGANIZER

  • It will help you oranize your story.
  • Try numbering your events.
  • Take out events you don't need.

GOOD BEGINNINGS

  • The beginning should make your audience hungry!
  • Ask a question...make the reader curious.
  • Set the scene...use details.
  • Make it STRONG.

WRITE WITH VOICE

  • You are the star!
  • Your writing should sound like you.
  • Show your personality!

GOOD ENDINGS

  • The last few words show it is coming to an end.
  • Don't write, "The End. "
  • Tell how things worked out.
  • Share your thoughts and feelings.
