Wedge
A simple machine that is generally used to cut,split, or pierce objects.
Examples: Swords and hook
Screw
Screws are inclined planes wrapped around cylinders.
Examples: Soda bottles, and jar lids
Levers
A bar that moves on a fixed point. Levers have a lever arm and a fulcrum.
Examples: Toilet flushers, and crow bars
Inclined plane
A ramp, that helps lift objects up by supporting some of the weight.
Examples: Roller coster hills , and driveways
Pulley
A pulley has a groves rim in which a rope goes to help left objects.
Examples: Fishing rod, and flag poles
Wheel&axel
The wheel and axle are rotating levers, the wheel and axle are generally used to transport objects.
Examples: unicycle, and go karts
