Is imagination more powerful than intelligence? Why does Lewis Carroll try to tie intelligence and imagination together?

There were two helpful sites when looking for information about imaginations connectivity to intelligence. One was, psychologytoday.com. Another was Jbactors.com.

According to the sources there is no doubt that imagination is very powerful. In the article "The Curious Imagination", the author says "dreams are organized and profoundly intelligent."

"To imagine is to create..."(Jbactors) When something is imagined it has not been seen with external forces yet. When something is imagined that is the first time it becomes part of reality.

Lewis Carroll tries to tie intelligence and imagination into the story, "Through The Looking Glass", to show that intelligence and imagination help to build a person's character.
