  • Sentence - The DOG ran over then fence and then around the house.

  • Definition - A verb expresses action, being, or state of being

  • Function - they take place of a noun
  • Sentence - She did not watch the movies because SHE had homework.

  • Name - adjective
  • Definiton - words that describe things such as nouns or pronouns
  • Sentence - The SCARY ghost jumped out of nowhere and scared me.

ADVERB

  • Name - adverb
  • Definiton - adverbs indicate tiem and place and answer questions like "when or where"
  • Sentence - She tried running as QUICKLY as posssible to win the marathon.
