PRESENTATION OUTLINE

FREEDOM FROM SLAVERY

By: Isabella Persky

Children in Africa have been getting tricked into slaveryπŸ™…πŸ˜±. These children demonstrate child labor because they work long full days with dangerous tools, they can't attend schoolπŸ“šβœοΈ, and they are under 15 years old. They work at cacao tree plantations and collect the bean that is an ingredient in Americas favorite treat, chocolate.

Violation: Children in Africa are being treated as slaves.

Who suffers?: The slave children suffer, they use dangerous tools called machetes to cut down cacao beans.

Who benefits?: The owners of the cacao bean plantations benefit from this because they get workers to work for free.πŸ’΅πŸ’΅πŸ’΅

How to protect?: We need to raise awareness so people know what's going down in Africa. One way we can raise awareness is by not eating chocolate. Another way we could help is by writing a note to the government of the U.S. or chocolate companies such as Hershey's or Nestles so they could do something about it. 🍫🍫🍫

This affects not only the children who are slaves but their family. Their family's probably miss them, and feel terrible for letting that happen to their child.πŸ‘ͺ
