The goals of the women's rights movement was for women to be able to vote, attend college, and basically have the same rights as men. (Prentice hall)

5 IMPORTANT EVENTS (SIMMONS.EDU)

  • (1848) first ever womens rights convention organized by Elizabeth S
  • (1920) women gained the right to vote
  • (1964) prohibits employment discrimination or equal job offers
  • (1972) equal access to a higher education for women
  • (1981) Sandra day O'Conner is elected to the Supreme Court.

The impact of this movement was that women got the rights to vote and other equal rights that men had. Eventually it led to all of the freedom that was women have today. (Prentice Hall)
