The cowardly lion fell asleep in a field because of the poisonous smell of the flowers. He was to heavy to carry all the way out of the flowers. To fix this the tinman built a car and they lifted the lion on the car and thousands of mice pulled the car out of the flowers
I think the cowardly lion is a dynamic character because he changed internally. I know he changed because at the beginning of the book he admitted that he was a coward. He was brave throughout the story but he didn't know it. He's doing all these brave things he just doesn't know it's brave. At the end the wizard of oz gave him a bravery metal. Now he has more self awareness that he is brave.
This is the theme because the scarecrow wants brains because he feels that he's not smart at all. Except the fact that he comes up with all of the ideas for the group. One idea was that they had to get across the river se he told the tinman to build a boat and no one else thought of that idea.
Another reason why I think this is theme is because the tinman wants a heart. He wants one because he wants to love someone. But what he doesn't know is that he has to believe he has a heart. One time he stepped on a bug and killed it so he started crying. This shows that he has a type of heart because he cares for the dead insect.
