CURRENCY

1 US dollar=190 Venezuelan Bolivar

Government
The government is a presidential system, or a federal republic. The president is voted for, and they stay president for 6 years.

Religion
92% of Venezualas population is Roman Catholic, and most of the rest are protestian. There are very little Muslims or Jews.

Economy
The economy relies heavily of oil revenues, which is about 96% export earnings. The GDP of Venezuala is 438.28 billion US dollars in 2013. It's been lower, however, because of the lessening oil purchases.

Problem
Venezuela economic problem is that it's economy is plummeting badly. (GDP:438.3 billion USD)

CAUSE AND EFFECTS

Cause:
The government, which is led by Nicolas Maduro, is unstable. They don't help to fix the economy, and when they do it hasn't helped.
Effect: Venezuelas economy is worsening, and it doesn't look like anyone will help it get better anytime soon.

Cause:
The worlds largest oil consumers have found new, hard to extract crude oil underground, and have stopped buying as much oil.
Effect: No ones buying as much of Venezualas large oil supply, and prices have cut half of what they originally were (Now under $50 per barrel).

Cause:
Oil prices are lower, and the economy doesn't have enough money to buy food from trades.
Effect: Venezuela is in a lot of debt from loans to buy food, and people are still starving.

SOLUTIONS

  • Get the government stable; either get a new president or get him straightened out.
  • Find another export item other then oil.
  • Stabilize the economy by slowly paying off the debt and setting up a different export system.

Closing
Venezuela is a country reliant on oil export, but oil prices have halved and things aren't looking good for this South American country. It's economy is poor, and the president isn't doing anything. Maybe one day, someone will step in to help.
