This is what started it all, to calm all of the colonists, they took away every single tax, except a tax on tea, to show that they are still in control. And after that they made a law that it nearly impossible for the colonists to get tea from companies other than the British East India Company. This angered the colonists, so a group of people, called the Sons of Liberty, dressed up as American Indians and threw 342 crates of tea overboard a boat, people called it the Boston Tea Party.
