What is a landform?
A landform is a natural form of land in a specific place. All land forms are different. They have have different shape and color. They also have different have size. There are different types of landforms like plateau, island,hill,mountain,valley,canyon,desert.

Hill
a hill is pile of land that is tall or short it depends how much land is piled. hills can be steep or not steep. They are made by deep holes in earth and they are filled in by earth. examples are volcanoes. these are piles of land that are not cracked or supper steep it is not a mountain. it has a rounded top and can be climbed without a rope.

Island
an island is a piece of land in the ocean that is not connected to anything. it is land that is surrounded completely by water. it is tropical and all the island that has a beach all the way around it. it is floating still in the ocean.

Desert
a desert is a land that is dry and has little water. A desert is located in mexico and many dry areas of land. they have very little animals because it is very dry. they have no or little amounts of trees.

River
a river is a large stream of water that is always moving or has a current. it leads to the ocean sea or into a lake. a river has many types of wildlife in them. the river is a flowing movement of water.

Lake
a lake is a large body of water. a lake is always surrounded by land.lakes can also be small. you can dig and make your own lake called a man made lake.
