In September 1836 elections came and they indicated a strong design to join the United States. Well because most of them immigrated from the United States, And they new America had a strong army so they became strongly tied to the United States/wanted to be protected.

Texas the individual country that fought the Mexicans really wanted the United States on their side. Luckily they became strongly tied to the United States. Later on Texas became part of the United States. But coming a part of the U.S. Was not easy because Mexico refused independence.

But it was also became one of the most convertal issues in the late 1830s.
