LOCATION!

  • Alaska,Northern Canada,the edges of Greenland
  • Russia,and finally Northern Scandinavia
  • It Is 3million miles long 
  • It covers almost 20% of the earth surface

CLIMATE

  • In the summer it doesn't get any warmer than 45 to 50 degrees
  • In the winter It doesn't even reach 20 degrees an averages is -20 to -30

ANIMALS

  • Some of the animals that live in the Tundra are
  • Arctic Fox, Caribous, Ermines, Grizzly Bears, Harlequin Ducks, Polars and Snowy Owl
  • These are most the common animals that you would see if you were there

PLANTS

  • The is a lot of beautiful plant In the Tundra
  • Some of then are Arctic Willow, Caribou Moss, Diamond-leaf Willow
  • Also Pasqueflower, and the cottongrass

ADAPTATIONS ORGANISMS FOR ANIMALS TO SURVIVE

  • For an example the Caribou have thick fur coats that have hollows hairs
  • Also the Arctic Fox they are to see in the snow.
  • Its because of their thick white cat that only last in the winter
  • In the summer It Is still thick but It Is brownish-grey
  • It's that cool how it changes colors

WHY SHOULD TUNDRA BE PROTECTED?

  • Tundra should be protected because there Is a lot of animals living there
  • Particularly In the summer and If there was waste and plastic mostly
  • The animals might think It's food and they are most likely to will died
  • It's important because some of the animals that live there Is human food
  • If we don't have food than we are a dead man/women
