SAHARA

  • Northern section of West Africa is covered by Sahara
  • The Sahara is a very large desert
  • Sent: The Sahara can reach extreme climates so very few plants can survive there.

SAVANNAH

  • A savannah is a grassland in a tropical region.
  • Sent. The savannah has a variety of animals including giraffes,lions,and more.

VEGETATION ZONE

  • A region that has certain types of plant
  • The 3 vegetation zones are rain forest,desert,and savannah
  • Each vegetation zone has their own resources
  • Sent. Each vegetation zone can either have lots of gold, salt, or crops.

TIMBUKTU

  • A city that was made from Sundiata, the chief of the Malinke
  • It was on the Niger River and between the savannah and desert vegetation zones
  • Sent. Even today, Timbuktu still looks similar to when it was still a village in Mali.
