WHAT IS TYPE 2 DIABETES?
- Its a life long chronic disease
- Is when there are high levels of sugar in blood
- It is the most common form of diabetes
- There is no "cure" for Diabetes
- Diabetics have to insert insulin into themselves to stay alive

HOW DO YOU GET DIABETES?
- Type 2 diabetes usually occurs slowly over time
- Diabetes is caused by the way your body moves insulin
- Diabetes is also caused by the way your body uses insulin
- Type 2 Diabetes can also come from family history

WHATS INSULIN?
- It is hormone produced in the pancreas by beta cells
- Insulin is needed to move blood sugar into cells
- Without insulin a diabetic couldn't live
- Diabetics have to insert insulin into themselves

SYMPTOMS & ORGANS INVOLVED IN DIABETES
- Pancreas- gets the insulin
- Blood Stream- moves bloodsugar throughout the body
- Skin- when hurt, if skin heals slowly thats a sign of Diabetes
- Kidneys- will heal slower, thats a sign of Diabetes
- Hunger, Increased Thirst, & Increased Urination are all symptoms
