-Nick
-Neighbors Jay Gatsby throws extravagant parties.
-Nick is educated at Yale.
-Nick begins a romantics relationship with Jordan Baker.
-In the summer Nick eventually gets invited to a Gatsby party.
-Nick finds out the parties his neighbor throws is to show off to Daisy.
-Gatsby makes Nick arrange a tea party with Daisy, soon to have Jay there waiting.
-Nick, Jordan, and Tom make a trip to see Myrtle, when they notice Gatsby has rammed his car and killed her.
-They soon know that Daisy was the driver and Gatsby want to take the blame.
-Tom tells George that Gatsby has killed his wife.
- George then kills Gatsby in his own pool.
- George then shoots himself.
-After all that madness, Nick moves back to the Midwest to escape the disgust he feels from people surrounding Gatsby's life.
-Nick reflects the era of dreaming, both Gatsby's dream and the American dream is over.
