4 months

Oh my gosh have you tried the whole transferring object thing!?
Language! 4 month olds babble, they watch everything, they pull on things, the love to see color and like music. They are really starting to think that maybe your food is better than what they eat. They should not be eating any solid foods at this point. They nap twice a day, and should have predictable diapering times. Diaper rash can be a concern if baby's are not changed often enough. Breast feeding mom's will notice a change in their milk and a change in demand for feedings. Formula supplementation is not recommended. They know their parents faces and are beginning to figure out this whole Peek a boo thing...

I have a pincer grasp! YES! That means I can pick up a cheerio or a penny! I will of course put it straight in my mouth.

I am into everything! I loooove tupperware.

I know a lot of what you're saying and my babbling is getting better. Soon I'll have my first word!

Oh and good news for Mom and Dad- I sleep like 14 hours a day now!

cruising is awesome-free walking ummm no I'll take a walk with this walker thing.

I also love to be bounced!

Breastfeeding is getting hard because I'm not stopping to eat unless I'm crazy hungry. I get distracted very easily. You would too if you just started understanding what people are saying!

look Ma no hands!
Start thinking a lot about injury prevention.

These adorable little creatures are soon to be mobile, with a pincer grasp and much more determined to open things than you and I are. They can fall down stairs, swallow anything, bump heads from falling, eat stuff left on the floor. Mom and Dad- you thought not sleeping was hard...welcome to 24 hour surveillance phase.

The human baby is attempting to walk and will enter an entirely different phase of development.
