HABITAT

  • Shallow costal waters
  • Northern pacific
  • Most sea otters are found in the waters of Alaska
  • Originally found in Japan and Siberia

BEHAVIOR

  • Spend much of lives in the water
  • Can dive up to 300 feet
  • One of the few animals to use resources
  • Small rocks or other small objects

REPRODUCTION

  • Mating season- all through the year
  • Gestation- 6-8 months
  • Litter size- normally one pup
  • Sometimes can give birth to twins
