1. Teaching Beyond the School Day ......
Allows teachers to use things like web links, online office hours, emails, and discussion boards to further engage the students at the comfort of their homes.

2. Engaging Students....

As mentioned in the previous slide, engaging the student is possible through technology. Online learning not only allows students to catch up or excel quicker in class, but it also diversifies the ways you connect with students.

3. Sharing information with Families....

While having student to teacher and teacher to teacher engagement is highly important, nothing is more important that having a connection with the students families. Through technology, families can monitor their child's progress and engage with the teachers for advice and support.

4. Building Learning Communities....

Electronic communications invite students to join a community of learners who are exploring topics of interest. When students collaborate within an activity, the community of learners grows stronger.

5. Publish Student Work...

Teachers can use an electronic communication system so that students can display and publish work done in the classroom or at home. Doing this brings positive reinforcement to the students and teachers, and it also allows students to feel praised for their hard work.

6. Energizing Student Work.....

As a teacher of proper writing and communication, its our responsibility, within the teaching community, to continue encouraging the importance of writing. Through technology, teachers can encourage students to text or email each other through proper English.
