Facts about Lake Mead

  • Lake Mead is located in both Nevada and Arizona, exactly right beside the Hoover Dam.
  • Lake Mead is the largest resorvior in maximum capacity of water. It is surrounded by a recreational park.
  • The sunlight gives off energy to the aquatic life in the lake, so the marine life is affected positively.

More facts about Lake Mead

  • Lake Mead is exactly 162 meters deep, along with the salinity of the water being "variable and fluctuating in a downward trend".
  • The seasonal changes that affect the lake and marine life are unknown. The only kind of change would be the decrease of water in the lake as well as the drought affecting it.
  • As said before, an increased demand for water and a drought have affected the lake. Climate change is also unknown.
