  • Caused by over-Production and helping EU with their food
  • Local markets didnt have all the food they needed to sell
  • So the markets raised the raised their prices

  • Many people went into poverty because they were already in a bad place
  • Families had to become self-dependent
  • People who couldn't grow their own crops bought from people who could

THE POSITIVES

  • More inventions were made, even the original kool-aid
  • A lot of new recipes were made some that we even use today
  • Colonel Harland Sanders made the recipe for a famous cafe in Kentucky
  • Women got together in some towns to discuss their own recipes and politics

  • Kraft macaroni and cheese
  • Good Humor ice cream bars
  • Bisquik

THE OVERALL OUTCOME

  • People needed to adjust to living more independently
  • More processed foods were created
  • Food was defiantly a struggle for many people
  • Without the depression we would'nt have some of the foods we have today
