METHODS

  • PSU students collected water samples from the pond and stream
  • 4 groups observed pond samples
  • 4 groups observed stream samples
  • Used ice cube trays1qw to sort based on physical appearance
  • Recorded findings on data sheet

RESULTS

CONCLUSIONS

  • The pond had more abundance and diversity
  • The pond has more nutrients
  • The pond has warmer water
  • The pond has places to hide
  • The pond has fewer predators
