This is me in grade 9

In grade 9, I was often hiding...

...or scared...

...or oblivious.

It was a time of change and confusion.

And this was my 90210.

What advice would I give
my Grade 9 self?

Different is good.

Mistakes are okay.

Get some sleep.

Relax.

You won't regret being kind.

Ask questions.

You have time to decide...

Overalls are comfy,
but not attractive.

Ultimately...

• We can't go back but we can reflect and learn
• When I reflect, I practice empathy (I remember what it was like to be in Grade 9, so maybe I will be nicer to my students)
• The original 90210 was better than the new 90210
• Fashion today is better than it was in the nineties, but the nineties were better than the eighties. So I guess things get better with time.
