THE BP OIL DISASTER!!😁😡

HOW DID IT START!

• It began on the 20th of April 2010, in the gulf of Mexico
• A explosion occured on an oil rig that was getting oil, and it was so deep down in the ocean that they couldn't fix it and the oil just came gushing out.

THE EFFECT OF IT!

• More than 8000 birds, sea turtles and marine mammals where found dead or injured 6 months after the oil spill.
• Animals weren't the only things that got effected by the oil spill, humans also got effected
• Oil contains petroleum hydrocarbons witch are toxic and irritating to the human skin, also the oil had a horrible smell that made people vomit and have headaches.

HOW DID THE OIL GO AWAY? 😟😟

• There was about 10,000suggestions of how to rid of the oil but approximately 700 ways where used.
• One of the ways the BP where cleaning up the oil was by using floating polyethylene pads in the effort to soak up the oil.
