1 1/2 cups whole-wheat white flour
1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
1 teaspoon baking soda
Fine salt
1 large egg

1/4 cup smooth unsweetened applesauce
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Add 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar & brown sugar
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degress F .Line two baking sheets with parchment paper
Add the flour and oats to a food processor and pulse until the oats are finely ground
Transfer to a medium bowl, add the baking soda and 1/2 teaspoon salt and whisk to combine
Add the butter, granulated sugar , and brown sugar to a large bowl
.Beat on -high about 4 minutes.

Add the applesauce-egg mixture and beat until incorporated
Reduce the mixer speed to medium-low and add the flour-oats mixture in two batches
Add chocolate chips and mix until evenly distributed
Drop tablespoonfuls of batter onto the baking sheets, about 2in apart
Bake until golden brown, 10 to 12 minutes
