African Singers Use Music To Raise Ebola Awareness

What happened?

Some of the most popular African musicians came together to write a song about raising Ebola awareness.

Who was there?

African musicians Tiken Jah Fakoly, Amadou & Mariam, Salif Keita, Oumou Sangare and others.

Why did it happen?

The song was made because people weren't taking Ebola seriously and to tell people the importance of trusting your doctor instead of trusting fake healers or mythical alternatives.

It happened after more out breaks of the disease where spreading and people not taking proper safety precautions.

Where did it happen?

In Africa which has many different places infected with Ebola.

Some of the most well known musicians in Africa wrote and sang a song about Ebola awareness. In the song and article they gave different safety tips for fighting Ebola. Some examples "trust your doctor", "wash your hands more frequently" and "avoiding under cooked foods and bush meats". ...

The song was also made to spread true information and dispel myths about Ebola. It was made to help civilians gain trust in the respective country's health services and to spread hope to everyone and there family affected by Ebola as well.
