Literary Allusion:
In the hunger games the character named Cinna is related to Cinna from Julius Caesar. In Julius caesar Cinna plots against Caesar just like Cinna in the hunger games rebels against the capital.

Herman Melville created some impending doom when he named the main ship the Pequod. The Pequot was a Native American tribe that was driven into extinction.

Biblical Allusion:
The Lion King is an allusion to the story of Moses in the book of exodus. Simba represents Moses and how he was prince until he was wrongly accused of causing his fathers death.

In The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe C.S. Lewis uses the return of king Aslan to parallel Jesus's return.

Remus Lupin is a werewolf in the Harry Potter series. Remus' name alluded to the Roman myth of Romulus and Remus, twins cared for by a she-wolf.

Allen Jackson- "Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning" is referencing to 9/11.
