Le musée d'Orsay is a famous art museum in Paris that contains sculptures, 19 century art, and many other pieces of art

Le musée d'Orsay used to be an abandoned train station since 1961. In 1978 president Giscard D'esting decided to use the abandoned station as a museum for 19th and 20th century art.

The museum is located by the seine river and Is also located to the right of the national museum of honor and orders of chivalry.

The museum contains 2,300 paintings, 1,500 sculptures and 1,00 other objects. It covers a period from the mid 19th century to 1914.
