Population
They are endangered. They had a huge amount of Saiga Antelopes in the mid-1970's but now they are down to the 10,000s. To help this problem the people of Russia have organizations that help the Saiga antelopes reproduce during mating season.

Population
Also the Saiga Antelopes travel up north to mate but halfway through, they leave the females to have the babies then the males come back to travel back to there habitat.

Community
They share their land with many animals. They are known as a pray. Bloody fights accure between the males so they can have a female with them.

Community
There is moderate precipitation so, it's hard for the tall plants to grow. Also in the early 1800's, bison ruled the temperate grasslands so, it was hard for the Saiga Antelopes to compete with other species.

Biome
The grassland biomes are usually between a forest and desert. 25% of the earth is covered with the grassland biomes. Since all of the temperate grasslands have rich soil, much of this land is taken by humans.
