PRESENTATION OUTLINE

latitude

By Boden,Tyler, and Jackson L.

Latitude measures north and south on the Earth surface. The North Pole is at 90 degrees. So is the south Pole.

Then the Equator is at 0 degrees. The weather is always warm in the tropics because it is closer to the Equator.

The mid latitude is at 23.5 to 60 degrees. This means that there are cooler winter's and warmer summer's.

The Polar latitude's are the latitude's above 60 degrees. Theses area's get the least energy from the sun and have cooler temperatures all year round.

However, the summer is often much warmer than the very cool winters.

Also the weather is always warm in the tropics, unless you are at higher elevation such as a MT.
