REBUILDING THE SOUTH

• Step 1: clean up from the war
• Step 2: help people get back on their feet.
• Step 3: bring the south back into the union.

HOW I WOULD TREAT THE SOUTH

• I would try to be nice but be a little rude sometimes
• I would help them get back in the union quickly.
• Treat them a little different than the others.

HOW I WOULD HELP THE SOUTH ECONOMICALLY

• I would help all the freedmen
• Provide them with food and shelter.
• Help the freedmen get jobs

POLICIES

• Freedmen would still have to work but not as a slave.
• Southerners would have to be watched over in some states.
• Freedmen would keep everything in order.

• Confederates would have to gain back all their lost money
• Confederates would have to rebuild their government or join the union.
