CLOWN FISH

  • Size-3-4 inches (10cm)
  • 3-6 years
  • Peaceful
  • Don't mix they will fight

CLOWN FISH

  • 28 species
  • There are different colors like black and white, orange and white and more.

REGIONS THEY LIVE IN

  • live in the warmer waters of the Pacific Ocean and Indian Ocean.
  • They are also found in northwest Australia, southeast Asia, Japan and the Indo-Malaysian region.

WHAT THEY LIVE IN

  • Clownfish live at the bottom of the sea in sheltered reefs or in shallow lagoons, usually in pairs.
  • They live in anemones.
  • Anemones have poisonous tentacles.
  • Tentacles protect clownfish from predators

WHAT DO CLOWNFISH EAT

  • They eat the leftovers from fish on the anemone and algae. The leftovers include copepods, isopods and zooplankton.

REPRDUCTION

  • All clownfish are born males. They have the ability to change sex. When the change sex they can't change back.
  • Lay up to 2000 each time they spawn.
  • Hatch 7 to 10 days
  • The dad cleans the eggs with mouth.
  • When the female dies the most dominant male becomes female.

FUN FACTS

  • The clown fish is most known for being in the Disney Pixar movie Finding Nemo.
  • They are protected by the poison from the anemones by a layer of mucus on their body.
  • They are poor swimmers
