Floods

Floods : a natural event or occurrence where the water overflows or/and submerges over dry piece and land. While some floods overtake land quickly and others take days or perhaps months to build up and overflow.

THERE ARE SEVERAL TYPES OF FLOODS

• Over banks flooding
• Flash flooding
• Ice jam flooding
• Engineering issues

It affects the ECONOMY because the government has to help supply money to the ones affected by the flood. It takes years for communities to rebuild and businesses to return normal

The neighborhoods also suffers from floods due to chemicals and other hazardous substances ending up in water. This also causes contamination in the bodies if water. It causes massive leakage in nuclear plants and most likely to cause his radiation in the area.

STAYING SAFE

• Make sure children and elderly by leading them to higher grounds.
• Turning off electrical appliances , gas and heat.
• Staying away from power lines .
• Leave the area before its too late.
• Do not drive through moving water, which causes damage to veichecals
