HOW DOES THE HUMAN EYE WORK?

BY:Fernando Ambriz

WHY I CHOSE THIS TOPIC?

  • I chose this topic because it sounded interesting to learn about the eye.
  • I wanted to know how the eye specifically worked.

HOW IT WORKS!

  • Vision begins when light rays are reflected of an object and enters the eye
  • Once the light rays enter the eye, they go through the cornea.
  • The cornea bends or refracts the rays that pass through the a round hole.
  • The iris that surrounds the pupil ,opens and closes
  • When it opens and closes it makes the pupil bigger and smaller.

Fun facts!

  • Eyes are composed of more than 2 million working parts.
  • The average person blinks 12 times a minute.
  • The human eye weighs approximately weighs 28 grams.
  • Your eye will focus on about 50 things per second.
  • Eyelashes have an average life span of 5 months.
