PRESENTATION OUTLINE

SPAGHETTI MARSHMALLOW TOWER

BY: STEPHANIE FLORES

Ask:
How can I build a freestanding structure with Spaghetti and marshmallows?

Background

The science behind is if I have crossbeams, the structure will stay up. Also the art is how I'm going to design it. Technology is to research it. Math is I have to measure it and see how tall or short it is.

MATERIALS

  • Spaghetti
  • Marshmallows(small or big)

Imagine/Plan:
My plan is to build a freestanding structure using spaghetti and marshmallows

Create:
The base is going to be a square and the crossbeams are going to be triangles. If I have triangles, it will stay up.

Improve:
At first it wasn't successful because I didn't have crossbeams. I needed crossbeams to stay up. I added triangles because it's stronger.

Real-life connection:

My results mean that my structure is strong. Construction workers would need my results.
They would want their buildings to be strong and not fall down.
