WHAT HAPPENS

  • Bad chemicals in bloodstream
  • Bloodstream carries the oxygen for the baby
  • Cells have more chemicals than oxygen
  • Baby gets more chemicals than oxygen

  • Body not developed
  • Born too early
  • Asmtha
  • Learning disorders
  • Baby can die

HEART DEFECT

  • Heart to lung no blood flow
  • That's the source of oxygen
  • Openings in the upper chambers of heart
  • Causes there to be less oxygen in body

LUNG ISSUES

  • Baby can't breathe on their own
  • Use a respirator at first
  • Could have a breathing problem forever

WEIGHT

  • One pack/day takes off half a pound
  • Two packs/day takes off a full pound
