PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Objetivo: I will analyze the daily classwork system for Spanish class.
Classwork is 45% of your grade and consists of Cornell notes and daily class participation grades.
One set of your daily notes is taken up once every week. These notes count as a classwork grade. If you do not finish the activities in class for a set of notes, it will be assigned as homework.
The header of your notes lists the lesson number and title followed by the possible points for the assignment. Your grade for the notes can be calculated by dividing the first number by the second number. There is also a place for your name.
The #____ should be filled in each day with a number that corresponds to your last name in alphabetical order. Below that is where you will write the objective for the day.
The area labeled preguntas is where you will write 3 questions for each set of notes. These questions must relate to the notes that are being taken. Example: if you are taking notes about Spain, a question you might write would be, “what is the capital of Spain?”
Apuntes means “notes” and is where you will spend most of your time. It is important to follow along with the slideshow and fill in the blank with the correct words. These notes are what you are responsible for knowing after each lesson.
The area labeled resumen is where you will write a short summary about what you just learned. You can reference the objective in your summary. The summary should only be completed once you have finished all note taking and your activities are complete.
The activities will help you understand the concepts of the notes that you take. Make sure you are looking at your notes when completing each activity. If you do not complete all activities during the class period, they will be assigned as homework.
Once you have completed the notes, activities, questions and summary, place the notes in your binder in numerical order.
Your daily grade will be based on a 4 point system. Students that are fully engaged in each activity will receive 4 points. Students that aren’t fully engaged (not paying attention, not giving a full effort) will be docked points for each occurrence. If you were to receive ¾ points for your daily grade you will have made a 75.
