REFUGEE CASE STUDY

The over crowded public schools in Lebanon are a major issue in the country and have been the subject in news for over a decade. A solution is to make an online education available for the kids or they may have to make some kids be home schooled.

  • Overcrowded public schools and insufficient capacity at government clinics and hospitals that cater for the lower-income population, especially in rural areas, have been the subject of news stories and civil society activism for nearly a decade. The flow of refugees is stretching all of these sectors to the limit.

The lack of shelter is another problem. A lot of the refugee families are forced to live in schools, tents and on the streets. The problem is that the government increased the costs of rent. An easy fix is to have homeless shelters to help people get on their feet and to decrease rent.
