PRESENTATION OUTLINE

WHO IS CAUSING RESOURCE DEPLETION?

  • The main thing that is causing resource depletion are nonrenewable resources
  • Nonrenewable resources are resources that forms at a rate that is slower than the rate it's used
  • Some examples of Nonrenewable sources are:
  • Minerals
  • Fossil fuels (oil,coal)

WHAT IS RESOURCE DEPLETION?

  • Resource depletion is the occurrence of more Nonrenewable sources
  • During resource depletion sources that were thought to be renewable are becoming Nonrenewable

WHEN DOES RESOURCE DEPLETION OCCURR?

  • Resource depletion occurs when there is lack of renewable sources
  • When a resource does not renew itself at a sufficient rate is also an example
  • Fresh water was thought to be a renewable source
  • In some areas water was being used faster than it was being replaced

WHERE IS RESOURCE DEPLETION OCCURRING?

  • Resource depletion is occurring mostly everywhere
  • Some places of where Resource depletion is occurring:
  • Indonesia
  • Brazil
  • China and the U.S. All of these places have deforestation

WHY IS RESOURCE DEPLETION OCCURRING?

  • Resource depletion is occurring because of overpopulation
  • As the population of the earth grows larger then the more resources we need
  • We use most of these sources to help us survive and live our daily life but they
  • Are not being replaced at a regular rate

HOW DOES RESOURCE DEPLETION IMPACT ANIMALS?

  • the depletion of fossil fuel energy with its potentially disastrous impact on world food production.
  • Depletion of fresh water and Forrest also occur which affects some animals
