DIGESTION

• Digestion starts with the very first bite of food you take
• This is called Mechanical Digestion
• Food now travels to a tube called the esophagus
• The esophagus is a tube connected from the mouth to the stomach.
• The food in the stomach it begins mechanically and chemically breaking down

• Your stomach has very high acidic ph, hydrochloric and mucous
• These stomach juices digest the food and turn into chyme
• The digestive juices have enzymes that breaks down food

THE END OF DIGESTION

• The food that's left over is now sent to the colon
• Any water or food is absorbed
• This is where waste is now produced
