Guilford County Animal Control defines the following:

"Properly cleaned: Carcasses, debris, food waste, excrement and standing water or liquid wastes are removed from the shelter or enclosure with sufficient frequency to minimize the animal‟s contact with the above-mentioned contaminants and keep the shelter or enclosure in a sanitary condition reasonably free of disease-causing agents and odors offensive to the public...," (Animal Control Ordinance, page 5, 10/28/2010).

The primary goals of the Animal Control Program are to:

• providing informational services to the public concerning animal control,
• and by issuing citations.
