• 1929- stock market crashed.
• US businesses expanded to far.
• Banks- no guarantees to customers.
• Agriculture prices fell.

• There was a huge amount of unemployment,most effected people effected by this were farmers.
• There was a big deflation.
• There was a big drop in production.

LONG TERM CAUSES

• Over production of goods.
• The decline of farming industry.
• There was an unequal distribution of wealth.

LIFE DURING THE DEPRESSION

• There was a huge drought for ten years.
• This was called the dust bowl
• Many people were replaced by new farming technology resulting in a large rate of unemployed farmers.
