PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Hypothesis:
4 Predators have the same prey due to natural selection 3 predators will become extinct.
Null Hypothesis:
4 Predators have the same prey natural selection will have no effect on the predators.
Throughout the experiment you will notice certain predators start becoming extinct as trails are made. In the first trial the test tube clamp caught the lowest number of prey in which they became extinct in the second trial. In the second trail we'll see forceps becoming extinct which was second up for extinction from the clamps. A change occurs in the third trail and we now see the gain with the forceps while the spatula is now the targeted predator for extinction. Other than the differentiation of numbers between the two objects its seems as Thumb and fore finger is the ruling predator of all four although the number prey wasn't constant it never fell below 40. With that being said Thumb and fore Finger is the fittest of them all in survival tactics.
Conclusion
- Thumb and Forefinger is at the top of the chain of fitness of survival out of all the predators tested. One its ability to grip its prey at a quick pace and also grab more than one prey at different angles. The thumb and forefinger used its survival strategies in which it resulted to being the best of all others tested.
Real Life Comparison
- Compared to the anteater the the thumb and forefinger has a relative concept when it comes to its prey. The anteater has a long tongue that has sticky saliva. Ants stick to the tongue when they feed and are scraped off and swallowed. Both the ant eater and thumb and forefinger can catch more than one of its prey at a time and digest them.
