Thanksgiving
The 1620 voyage from England to America was more than 3,000 miles and beset by autumn storms. 52 pilgrims attended the first thanksgiving in 1621. Approximately 50 Native Americans attended the first thanksgiving including Massasoit and Squanto- pilgrims translator.

Thanksgiving day?
The first feast wasn't repeated, so it wasn't the beginning of a tradition. The colonists didn't even call the day Thanksgiving. To them, a Thanksgiving was a religious holiday in which they would go to church and thank God for a specific event, such as the winning of a battle.
