PRESENTATION OUTLINE
The traditional music of the Andes region in Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador and Chile is called "Música Andina". It is a combination of of the Andean Culture and European Culture.
The roots of this music are ancient. The wind and percussion instruments found in excavations of the tombs of the Andean people reveal the importance of music in pre-hispanic culture.
Two typical instruments, the "zampoña"...
came from the indigenous people of the Andes.
A third, the "charango", has influenced present day Spanish guitars.
Today, these are the most associated instruments in "La Música Andina"
