Snickers are made by the same company as M&Ms.
The name came from a favorite horse of the Mars Family.
Snickers are sold in more than 70 countries.
Over fifteen million Snickers bars are manufactured daily.
Traditionally, Snickers have around 16 peanuts in each bar.

TIMELINE
In 1930, Snickers was first launched. It cost a mere 5 cents!
In 1933-1935, Snickers was a two-piece bar called Double Snickers.
In 1936, it was reverted to its original format. (Single bar called Snickers)
In 1984, Snickers was the official snack food sponsor of the Olympics.
Until 1990, Snickers was sold under the brand name Marathon in the UK.
