SUMMER MAXIMIZATION STRATEGY #1

If you want to make the most of your summer...

I advise you take just five minutes and set three summer goals.

These goals should be based on your bigger vision for the year, and if you need to, reference your overall 2015 goals.

Summer, in and of itself, is a great time to check in and see how your progressing toward those 2015 goals.

You can set bigger goals, or adjust the goals you’ve already set.

The beginning of June through the beginning of September is an ideal 100-day period.

Included in the plan is a place to set your three goals.

I usually advise my clients to set two business goals and one personal goal.

This summer, set two business goals that are not too big, and not too small, and that would make them “just right…”

Meaning, they are the goals that help you to strike the right balance...

Balance between getting work done, and having a large amount of just plain good old-fashioned FUN.

I have set specific goals for the summer that I can accomplish by ruthlessly focusing on them with intensity

While working just a few hours a day.

I will allow myself to spend most days hanging out with my daughter and/or my husband...

Yet I won’t sacrifice my usual tight production schedule.

My personal goal is to do one mother/daughter or family activity every single day.

During the day {you know, while the sun is shining!}

That’s 100 days of “togetherness,” which I will enjoy immensely.

This goal is particularly important to me as my daughter nears graduation.

I want to make sure that when she leaves the nest in a couple of years that we have spent a lot of great quality time together.

So while I don’t want to work less and I certainly don’t want to earn less, I do want to play more.

How about you?

Take five minutes right now, or schedule five minutes sometime today, and pencil out two business goals and one personal goal.
