Problem: The Viet Cong hid in trees and sent secret messages by tapping.
Solution: Decode messages or tap randomly on trees once the messages start to confuse them.

Problem: Soldiers stepped on Pun Jai Spikes, which caused loss of limbs and major infections that led to death.
Solution: Reinforce the soldiers boots and armor so they wouldn't be as easy to puncture.

Solution: Make sure all the soldiers have sharpened machetes and long sleeved armor to make it harder for the elephant grass to cut their skin.
