BT-2

  • Production started in September 1931
  • The first 60 models had no machine guns
  • The next 350 had a 7.62 mm DA-2 twin MG
  • And it also has a 7.62 mm DT in ball mantlet
  • Production: 1931-1933

BT-5

  • The BT series of Soviet "fast tanks" was created by John Walter Christie
  • Had a 45mm main gun and coaxial 7.62mm DT machine gun
  • BT-5 crews enjoyed penetration of up to 37mm of armor thickness-
  • At ranges reaching 1,000 meters.
  • Production if BT-5 tanks began in March of 1933

IS-1

  • Was created because of the soviet armies need for more
  • Formidable tracked weapon systems to combat the power
  • Of German tanks.
  • Production began in 1943
  • Primary armament was an 85mm D-5T series main gun

T-70

  • Came into use in January 1942
  • Mass-produced until October 1943
  • Penetration: 38-64mm
  • View range: 300m
  • Designed by N.A. Astrov

ILYUSHIN STURMOVIK

  • Designed in response to a 1936 requirement for

LAVOCHKIN LA-5

  • Top speed: 403mph
  • First flight: March of 1942
  • First entered production in July 1942 with approximately
  • 1,182 built by the end of the year. Around 12,000 were produced

MIKOYAN- GUREVI CH MIG-3

  • Top speed: 398mph
  • Weight: 5,950 pounds
  • One of the fastest Soviet piston-engine designs in the early years
  • System was woefully under-armed in its early versions and was relegated
  • To bomber escort and close-support duty during its tenure.

YAKOVLEV YAK-9

  • Single-engine fighter aircraft
  • Maximum speed: 417mph
  • Armament: 1x 20mm ShVAK cannon with 120 rounds of amo
  • 2x 12.7mm UBS machine guns with 170 rounds to a gun.
  • Known under the code name "Frank"
